Refuge and follow up

During your time in refuge you will have a support worker to help you with a support plan, supporting you emotionally and with practical issues such as housing and benefits.

When you move on from refuge to your new tenancy, we will continue to provide support for a period of time to help you settle in to your new home / area and to support you with practical and emotional issues.

Outreach Support

We provide support for women experiencing or having been subjected to domestic abuse and who are living in the local community.  Workers meet with women at a safe and pre-arranged venue to provide information and support tailored to your support needs. We will work with you to develop a support plan and provide advocacy support in relation to this.

Telephone Support

We provide telephone support during weekdays from 9am to 5pm and out of hours Scottish Forced Domestic Abuse and Forced Marriage Helpline (free) can be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on 0800 027 123.

Women’s Groups

We run regular groups for our service users who are interested in meeting other women who have had similar experiences of domestic abuse. The groups provide peer support and an opportunity to build trust, enhance collaboration, and to promote recovery and healing.  Examples of groups we have run include a walking group, art classes and trips out.  However, the types of groups do change and we are open to suggestions.
